DC Studios undergoes revisions following internal changes at Warner Bros. The discovery and one of the rumors that spread involved the departure of Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman 3which would be his decision. The director spoke about her subject on her Twitter profile this Tuesday (13).
According to the director the rumors are false and she has denied that she has abandoned directing the film. Speculation gained momentum last week when rumors indicated that Jenkins is leaving the project following creative differences with Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios.
“When it came to Wonder Woman 3 that didn’t happen, the enticing fake clickbait that I had either killed the film or walked away from the project began to spread. This is simply not true. I never left the project,” Jenkins said.
Jenkins then hinted that she was willing to accept Warner’s proposed restructurings. However, some internal decisions weren’t conducive to director continuity for a third Wonder Woman film.
“I was open to considering anything they asked of me. I understood there was nothing I could do to move forward at this point,” Jenkins said. “DC is obviously buried in the changes they need to make, so I understand these decisions are complicated right now.”
Then, the director praised some members of the project, such as Lynda Carter and Gal Gadot, the actress who played Wonder Woman in Jenkins’ films, and thanked the fans, leaving a message. “I don’t want what has been a wonderful journey for Wonder Woman to end in a bad way. I loved and was flattered that I was responsible for making these last two films.”

Recently, an article in the Hollywood Reporter indicated that Jenkins’ project for Wonder Woman 3 it had been turned down by new DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran. On his Twitter, Gunn commented on the news: “As far as the Hollywood Reporter story goes, some of it is true, some of it is half true, some of it is not true and some of it we haven’t decided yet whether it’s true or not.” .
Subsequently, the Wrap portal pointed out that those responsible for rejecting the project were actually Michael de Luca and Pamela Abdy, co-presidents and CEOs of Warner Bros. Film group. However, the article states that Gunn and Safran agree with the assessment.
With Jenkins’ departure from Wonder Woman 3, some fans may be wondering about the director’s future in the Star Wars franchise. She also talked about it in the post and claims that the feature rogue squadron it is still in active development, even after being removed from Disney’s scheduled schedule. As a result, there is currently no release date for the film yet.
