Be inspired by the story of creative entrepreneur Amanda Ansaldo
Supporting the growth of their children closely and still running a successful business is the dream of many mothers. After all, nothing is more distressing than having to leave for work early in the morning and return only in the late afternoon, often leaving the children for long periods in kindergartens, schools, nannies or grandparents.
This was the scenario that the reporter Amanda Ansaldo she came across as a professional and mother of Maria Eduarda and Matheus.
Graduated in Journalism with a master’s degree in Image and Sound Creation and also in Management from Eca/USP, Amanda saw in creative sewing the possibility of having her own business and still being a participatory mother.
“My children were the biggest part of my career change decision. Leaving the years in the field of communication to devote myself to creative sewing was the best way I found to actually be a participatory mother, who picks up the children from school, accompanies them to English, follows homework, has lunch together, he sends them to take a shower… And all this without losing my financial independence and with a constantly growing company”, he underlines.
A passion that comes from childhood
The taste for manual arts has always been parallel in Amanda’s life. From the age of seven, she remembers bringing knitting needles to school. “I took advantage of the break to knit!” she points out.
Since then he has gone through various craft techniques, but he has also graduated in Cutting and Sewing, following certified training, including international teaching.
Working at home and crafting various projects for sale – such as beauty cases, wallets, purses and fabric organizers – Amanda structured her business and saw that it was actually possible to balance her duties as a mother and a professional at the same time.
The transformation was so great that she decided to use social media to teach other women how to take up the technique just like her.

In front of the Passo a Passo Criativo brand, Amanda teaches practical, beautiful and profitable pieces and, in addition, gives entrepreneurial advice to run a successful business. What if the goal of inspiring other mothers worked? Just look at the numbers: more than 564 thousand followers on Instahram, on YouTube there are more than 335 thousand subscribers to the Passo a Passo Criativo channel.
Focusing on creative sewing has its advantages: you don’t need large investments in machinery and any woman can start working in a corner of her home.
“Even if you don’t have great manual skills, you can train. Everything that we focus on and train on can work very well,” points out Amanda, who currently has students who already earn around R $ 10,000 a month with the songs she teaches.
Conquering this turnover and accompanying the growth of children is not just a dream. Amanda proves, in practice, that it can be real.
