Warhammer: Henry Cavill is already mentioned for a new production

After announcing he won’t be returning as Superman in the DC Universe, as new studio heads plan a reboot of the character with a younger actor, Henry Cavill begins weighing other options to fill his schedule.

According to information from Deadline, Henry Cavill is exploring different opportunities in the film and television market. Among these options, one seems to stand out for having negotiations at a more advanced stage.

This is a game related project Warhammer 40,000, in development by Amazon Studios. There aren’t any big details released about the project yet, but Deadline reveals that a deal, which is still being negotiated, would have Cavill star in and executive produce a sci-fi series based on the game, and possibly even a film. Vertigo Entertainment would be involved in the production.

Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop. In it, players stage battles using miniature models of warriors and fighting vehicles. The game takes place in the distant future where human civilization is threatened by hostile aliens and supernatural creatures.

The models in the game are a mix of humans, aliens and supernatural monsters, armed with futuristic weapons and possessing supernatural powers. The game’s fictional setting was developed through a series of novels, published by Black Library, the publishing arm of Games Workshop.

Previously, Henry Cavill starred in the fantasy drama series The sorcerer, which was also related to the games, but left the production. By the end of the year, he left the series and was replaced by Liam Hemsworth, who will live on the character of Geralt of Rivia from the fourth season of the series.
