Tarcísio de Freitas’ allies say he will be able to structure the public tender
Two weeks before the end of his mandate, the governor of São Paulo, Rodrigo García (PSDB), has authorized a public tender for the recruitment of 15,000 teachers, of which 10,700 will work with an extended 40-hour working day. Allies of his successor, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans) have been briefed on the measure and say the edict will be structured under the command of the next representative.
Starting salaries are R$5,000 and can reach R$7,000 with bonuses for those awarded to full-time schools. Garcia also sanctioned a bill authorizing the government to extend contracts for temporary teachers who joined the state network between 2018 and 2019. The proposal passed in Alexei last Wednesday (14). There are approximately 36,000 professionals with this condition.
