Croatia opened the scoring in the 6th minute, with a goal from the masked Josko Gvardiol, after a tried free-kick. He dives, with a header into the right corner of Bono’s goal, after the ball has been shored up by Ivan Perisic.

The lead lasted less than two minutes, when a penalty from the Moroccan international headed Croatian Lovro Majer, leaving Morocco’s Achraf Dari to head in from close range, in the small box.

But the Croatians see the game in the 42nd minute, thanks to a great goal by Mislav Orsic. The winger received from Marko Livaja on the left of the area and, at first, hit the opposite corner, covering goalkeeper Bono.

In the second half the pace slowed down, due to the tiredness of both teams. Only Morocco have had three substitutes for muscle problems. In Croatia, the team’s top scorer Kramaric went off with a sore calf.

Morocco has adopted a more aggressive attitude, looking for an equalizer and has thrown itself into the attack, opening space for Croatian counter-attacks.
