The Wandinha series has become one of Netflix’s biggest hits worldwide and that is nothing new to anyone. The Addams Family spin-off has become the streaming giant’s second most-watched English-language series, surpassing 1.02 billion total hours watched in just three weeks since its debut.
Wandinha stole second place in the series “Dahmer: An American Cannibal”, which tells the story of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. It took the Evan Peters-starring production 28 days to surpass the 856 million hours watched, but it took more than 60 days to surpass the one billion mark.
Starring Jenna Ortega, the series about the Addams’ eldest daughter has become a real hit on social networks, which have also increased its popularity on the streaming application.
On TikTok, for example, it has become a big trend for users to recreate the dance scene created by Ortega. Singer Lady Gaga, known as “Mother Monster”, also made a video imitating the choreography.
The Cramps’ song “Goo Goo Muck” also made an impressive leap on Spotify, surpassing over 16 million plays on the platform. Effect that had been experienced by “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, after the song had appeared in “Stranger Things”.

Netflix’s new series Wandinha, which brings a new story of the iconic Addams Family, has been a huge success, breaking records and occupying the first place in streaming ratings. But for the Addams’ daughter to get here, many other productions have explored this universe over the years.
