Fifteen years later, another French comedy was released in French theaters, with the first name at the center of the story this time. We are clearly talking about the adequate title Le Prénom by directors Alexandre de la Patellier and Matthew Delaporte, whose tenth anniversary we are celebrating this week.
An adapted film from a play of the same name released two years ago that tells the story of a family home during which one of the couples announces that they have decided to name their son after a novel by Adolf Benjamin Constant. This news will, in the first place, provoke a heated debate about the names he should name for his children, until rage erupts, leaving room for accounts and other revelations.
For the movie version, the five-star cast gathered on the screen of Patrick Bruel, Valerie Benguig, Charles Burling and Guillaume de Tonkedeck. The film will be a public and commercial success in France with over three million appearances and five Caesar nominations, and will win two statuettes for Best Supporting Actor.
