Of the category, 59.25% voted against the proposal offered by the Higher Labor Court, while 40.02% voted in favor
The National Union of Aeronauts (SNA) rejected the proposal presented by the Superior Labor Court (TST) and announced live this Friday 23, that a part of the pilots and flight attendants will follow idly. Of the category, 59.25% voted against the proposal and 40.02% expressed its favour.
The proposal presented by the TST envisaged, among other things, the renewal of the collective agreement in its entirety, a 100% adjustment of the inflation index for the last twelve months, i.e. 5.97% of fixed and variable wages, plus the adding 1% effective increase.
The strike by aeronauts (pilots and flight attendants) will therefore continue for the fifth day. The service will be paralyzed, from 6:00 to 8:00, in the airports of Congonhas (São Paulo, capital), Santos Dumont and Galeão (Rio de Janeiro, capital), Guarulhos (São Paulo), Viracopos (Campinas, SP), Porto Alegre (RS ), Confins (Belo Horizonte, MG), Brasilia (DF) and Fortaleza (CE).
In a note to the press, the National Union of Aeronauts (SNA) “believes that the movement has been positive in these four days of strike, within the limits established by the Justice” and that it is necessary to specify that the aeronauts have been negotiating and that all the proposals sent by the employers’ union were not consistent with the agenda of the category’s claims, so they were rejected”.
The president of the SNA, Henry Hacklander, highlighted that in addition to real earnings on salaries, the category wants better rest conditions. “Obviously there was talk of wage recomposition and real earnings, but it wasn’t just that. In these more than two and a half months the companies have refused to respond to any kind of request aimed at rest, leave and rest for the crew respect which, yes, it is very necessary for any worker in the country. It is obvious that a member of the tired and poorly paid crew can pose a risk to aviation.
The category states that airlines “respect the start and end times of days off and that they do not schedule working days longer than three hours on the ground between two flight stops”. The union stressed that no flights will be cancelled, but that there will be delays. Flights will have to be rescheduled by the airlines.
