The Federal Road Police (PRF) has granted voluntary retirement to Silvinei Vasques, recently resigned by the head of the institution, accused of administrative irregularity and subject to investigation for alleged prevarication. Silvinei is 47 years old. He joined PRF in 1995 and leaves the company after a 27-year career as a federal traffic police officer.
The information is contained in an ordinance published in Federal Official Sheet (DOU) this Friday 23. The document is dated December 21, last Wednesday, and signed by the Director of Personnel Management of the PRF, Marcos Alves Pereira.
An ally of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Silvinei is accused of administrative impropriety and abuse of office in favor of the candidacy of the chief executive in last October’s elections. On the 6th he was chosen to chair the Commission for the coordination of protection of the Brazilian nuclear program.
