All the stars of Warner Bros. Barbie – Margo Robbie in the title role – opens in theaters on July 21, 2023, the studio announced at CinemaCon on Tuesday night.
Robbie embodies a doorbell fashion doll whose names range from Will Ferrell and Ryan Gosling and Simu Liu to Kate McKinnon and Alexandra Ship to Emma Mackie and America Ferrero.
Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach wrote the screenplay for the project, directed by Gervig. Production is already underway.
The details of the story are housed in the Malibu Dream house, but sources indicate that the process has a meta-aspect. Ferrell is said to be playing the role of CEO of a toy company, which may or may not be Mattel.

In addition to acting, Robbie directs the project through LuckyChap ad alongside LuckyChap Tom Tom Ackerl. Robbie Brenner of Mattel Films and paddington Producer David Hayman is also a producer.
