Shazam!’s Zachary Levi Defends Changes Made To DC By James Gunn And Peter Safran

“We should always try to reach as many audiences as possible.”

                          The ‘Shazam!’ star Zachary Levi, has defended the changes made by the heads of DC, James Gunn and Peter Safran.

                          There have been many changes since the two were appointed last November to straighten the course of DC Studios, with Henry Cavill announcing his goodbye as Superman and also with a third Wonder Woman movie cancelled.

                          More recently, Dwayne Johnson has confirmed Black Adam’s future at DC and revealed that a sequel focused on his character was not part of James Gunn’s initial plans in the DC Universe, thus leaving his future up in the air.

                          Levi, however, has defended the heads of the studio despite the uncertainty about his characterposting a live video on his Instagram account.

                          “Up to this point, there have been quite a few DC movies that may have made some fans very happy, but they’re not tapping into the larger audience,” he said. “Marvel was very successful in doing that: bringing the most people to the table, the most people who could be satiated and bringing joy and all that stuff.”

                          “If you’re there, and you really liked what happened before, you can do it, that’s fine, but I recognize that there are a lot of people who didn’t like those things, and we should always try to reach the largest audience possible, making the largest audience happy. number of people possible,” he continued.

                          “That’s what we’re in show business for, and I think that’s what Peter and James are really trying to do, and it’s not an easy position. They were given all these things that were already in a lot of conflict. So guys, Just give them a break. Take it easy. Take a breather,” he concluded.

                          The actor, whom we will see in ‘Shazam! The fury of the gods’ on March 17one of the most anticipated films of 2023, recently denied rumors that he would be replaced in the role after the next film, which will also star Helen Mirren, Rachel Zegler and Lucy Liu, who will be the villain of the second installment of ‘Shazam! !
