“It was going to be a father-son story.”

The director of ‘Black Panther 2’, ryan coogler, Has revealed what the original plan for the sequelthe last movie before Marvel’s Phase 5 kicked off, was completely different.

In an interview with ‘The New York Times’has commented on the initial ideas for the Marvel movie ‘Wakanda Forever’ before that the film had to be rewritten after the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman.

“It was nothing like what we did,” Coogler said when asked if Boseman’s death had changed the story of a movie that hasn’t repurposed the role of T’Challa.

He continued: “It was: ‘What are we going to do with the fade and come back?’ (which returned T’Challa and others missing for five years after the events of ‘Infinity War’).

“It was going to be a father-son story. In the script, T’Challa was a father who had had this enforced five-year absence from his son’s life.”

Coogler went on to share the specific plans for the film’s opening scenes, revealing that it was an animated sequence with Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) asking the couple’s son, Toussaint, what he could remember of his father before T’ Challa is brought back after the blackout and meets his son for the first time.

“Then we cut to reality and it’s the night everyone comes back. You see T’Challa meet the boy for the first time,” he adds.

“Then we fast forward three years and he becomes the father of the boy. We had some crazy scenes for Chad, the movie was about a summer that the boy spends with his father. But something happens and T’Challa has to go save the world with his son. That was the movie.”
