The year 2022 was marked by many good series premieres on streaming platforms, but also many completely expendable ones. Between already anticipated productions and other releases as novelties, some reach a consensus and others divide opinions.




The 10 worst series of 2022

Among the worst series of 2022 are the storylines of Netflixlike No one can know, resident Evil and The Witcher: The Originor even HBO Max or Prime Video, like The Time Traveler’s Wife and The list of terminals.

With this in mind, Canaltech has prepared a ranking with some of last year’s worst series that don’t need to be watched. Check out the full list.

10. No one can know

 

The series No one can know generated expectations due to the mysterious and action-packed proposition, as well as the good cast. However, the storyline wasn’t very successful, didn’t flow very well in its story, and only got a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

9. Echoes

 

the miniseries Echoesa Netflix Original, also promised not to please critics and Netflix subscribers in 2022. The mysterious story of these identical twins only garnered 24% critical approval and 42% of the overall audience, so it couldn’t be left out of the classification .

8. The Time Traveler’s Wife

 

Despite differing opinions, The Time Traveler’s Wife it could not be in the list of the worst series of 2022. The plot is based on a novel by Audrey Niffenegger and already had a film, but not even being known by some, she managed to fully satisfy with an exciting and confusing story in the same proportions. The critical ratings for the series only achieved a 37% approval rating.

The series recently left HBO Max, even though it’s an HBO original.

7. The legend of the lost treasure: at the edge of history

 

In 2022, the series premiered on Disney+ The Legend of the Lost Treasure: On the Verge of History, an adventure derived from the films of the same name, starring Nicolas Cage. The series, however, was not so well received, amassing only 44% approval rating on the Rotten Tomatoes website, which may have been a disappointment for fans of the saga.

2. Blockbuster

 

Another big Netflix bomb in 2022 was comedy Blockbuster, which tells the story of the franchise’s last film rental store to open in the United States. Despite the proposition’s nostalgia, the plot didn’t win over, offering lame humor and only a 22% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, sadly.

1. The Witcher: The Origin

 

The Witcher: The Origin just premiered and is already considered one of the worst of 2022. The series debuted in December as a prequel to The witcher, a Netflix storyline based on the books by Andrezej Sapkowski. However, the reception was not all that good, earning it many criticisms and negative ratings. On Rotten Tomatoes, the production only earned a 33% rating.
