As “Batman” came out globally, Warner disrupted his DC schedule. Result: “Black Adam”, “Aquaman 2” or “The Flash” retreat, while “Shazam 2” is promoted.
With the release of Batman, which was rewarded with a good start at the global box office with nearly $ 280 million earned in one week, Warner and DC got off to a great start with superhero-rich 2022, where it’s been less than five years. Keep in mind that Black Adam and Shazam 2 will now be released at two-month intervals (compared to the previous ten), allowing the latter to surf the potential success of the former, which could elevate the sauce to a post-generic scene.
And while we were wondering if Aquaman 2 was really going to stay in the same niche against Avatar 2 (which will also take place underwater), a James Wan’s film finally gave way to… Shazam 2. As surprising as it may seem, as James Cameron’s film could. Bring it to take everything in its path as the first opus. But that does not stop director David F. Sandberg from perceiving it with humor.
