In order for as many people as possible to understand the creatures of the Ukrainian war, Netflix is preparing a free winter: Ukraine’s fight for freedom, an Oscar-nominated Ukrainian documentary.
Netflix has decided to help people who are interested in the Ukraine war see it more clearly. So the platform decided to set winter on fire: Ukraine’s fight for freedom, its documentary about the Ukrainian revolution, free of charge on YouTube as a sign of the country’s support.
Dating back to 2014, Winter on Fire got the biggest response when it hit Netflix in 2015. The documentary was widely acclaimed: it was nominated for an Oscar for Best Feature Documentary, the Emmy Awards, and received other awards. He also won the People’s Choice Award for Best Documentary at the Toronto International Film Festival.
This view of Ukrainian politics – and the will of its people to fight for the independence of their territory – is still relevant in times of conflict between the country and Russia. Netflix showed its support on Twitter:

Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Struggle for Freedom is now available on YouTube and Netflix. Five days after its release, YouTube statistics show that the 98-minute documentary has more than 500,000 views.
