Vasco announces the loan signing of defender Robson Bambu, a former Corinthians player

The defender arrives with a contract until December 2023 with the Rio de Janeiro club

OR Basque announced, this Tuesday, the signing of the defender Robson bamboo. The athlete, who belongs to the Beautiful (France), remains on loan at São Januário until December.

Robson is the fifth player to join the squad commanded by coach Maurício Barbieri for the 2023 season. The others are: defender Léo, ex São Paulo, defensive midfielder Patrick de Lucca, ex Bahia, full back Lucas Piton, ex Corinthians, and striker Pedro Raul, ex Goiás.

Born in São Vicente, Robson began his career in Santos’ youth academy and turned professional in 2018. The following year, he moved to Athletico-PR, where he won the Copa do Brasil title. In 2020 he was sold to Nice (FRA) and ended up on loan at Corinthians, the team he played last season.

Robson, 25, still accumulates call-ups for the Brazilian under-20 team and was also part of the under-23 squad that contested the Pre-Olympics in 2020.
