The film Witty: A Christmas Carol stood out in the year-end themed movie season, earning attention by making it to the Oscar list with possible nominations in the Best Song category for the song “Good Afternoon”, performed by Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell in the film .
However, Hugh Jackman, who is destined to star Deadpool 3 along with Ryan Reynolds, he appealed to the Academy not to inflate Reynolds’ ego with the possible nomination. “Ryan Reynolds getting a Best Song nomination would make the next year of my life unbearable,” Jackman joked in a video posted on Twitter.
The actor continued, “I spent a year with him shooting with Wolverine and Deadpool. Trust me, that would be impossible. It would be a problem”. Before we get to that part of the video, however, Hugh Jackman took the time to praise Reynolds for the film.

“I liked it Humorous. It’s a great movie, my whole family saw it and enjoyed it a lot. i love will [Ferrell]I love Octavia [Spencer]… and ‘Good Afternoon’, I laughed the whole time. It’s absolutely brilliant,” said the actor referring to the song selected from 15 songs in the Best Original Song category.
However, Jackman went on to say, deadpan, “But please, from the bottom of my heart, don’t validate Ryan Reynolds [com uma indicação ao Oscar].”
Hugh Jackman is currently wrapping up a Broadway sequel to ‘The Music Man’ before starting filming on the third film. Dead Pool. It was announced that he would be returning as Wolverine in September. The film is scheduled for 2024.
Reynolds and Jackman have a long superhero history together. the star of Dead Pool first appeared as a character in The Origins of the X-Men: Wolverinea widely panned 2009 film which was the first spin-off of X-Men focus on the character of Hugh Jackman. That version of Deadpool, however, had his mouth shut and didn’t feature his iconic red and black costume.
