The innovation of ‘Kaleidoscope’ or ‘Kaleidoscope’, apart from being inspired by a real event, is that each user watches the episodes in a different order, giving each person a unique experience.

‘Kaleidoscope’: what happened to Leo at the end of the Netflix series?

One of the intrigues of the series focuses on the fate of Leo Papp, since in the last chronological episode he is shot from behind and to explain who his attacker is, one must remember the events of the series.

Ray changes his name to Leo to plan the millionaire’s heist style “The paper house” (which will have a spin-off). But his real motivation for organizing it is not out of greed, but revenge against Roger Salas (Rufus Sewell).

Decades earlier, Salas and Leo were young thieves named Graham Davies and Ray Vernon, who had worked on several heists together until one heist went wrong.

In the episode “Violet” it is explained that they staged a coup at Ray’s wife Lily’s job, but Graham arrests her at the scene, unaware that Lily was still working, and she dies in the fire.

Ray is captured and spends 17 years in prison planning his escape and revenge against Graham, who went free and built a successful private security company under the name Salas.

This is how the millionaire heist is really Leo’s plan to avenge his wife’s death, frame Salas for the heist and take away everything he has. Although Leo knows deep down that his life is ending, since he suffers from Parkinson’s and the disease progresses very quickly.

Who Killed Leo in ‘Kaleidoscope’?: The Netflix Series Finale?

In the episode “Rosa”, six months after the robbery, which occurs in the episode “Blanco”, Leo manages to make peace with his daughter and they agree that he can visit his granddaughter Lily.

Later, Leo visits Salas in prison to hold him accountable for his wife’s death decades ago and make him understand that it was all a personal matter and never about the money.

Leaving the prison, Leo walks through a park and finally seems free of guilt and thirst for revenge, but is followed by a man in black, wearing a cap and T-shirt that has caricature and kaleidoscope colors.

As the stage begins to fill with the color pink, the man pulls out a gun and shoots Leo in the back, seemingly ending his life. but who is the man who kills Leo in “Kaleidoscope”?

The answer is hidden in the episode ‘White’, because in the last moments of the chapter in which the millionaire robbery takes place, it appears that the colorful shirt is used by Brad (Nate Katsuki), the son of Roger Salas.

If Leo has been motivated by revenge against Salas for years, Brad is moved by the same feeling after trying to kill the man who sent his father to prison.

Although he doesn’t see his face, it’s possible the shot wasn’t real, but Leo died of Parkinson’s and the final scene is just a representation that he’s achieved all his goals and can die in peace.
