Prince Harry will not play a major role in the coronation of his father, King Charles III, during the coronation, scheduled for May. According to the newspaper Sunday hoursthe youngest of the monarch was written out of the script after the controversial revelations of his biography and the series on Netflix.
‘Spare’, Harry’s memoir, will be officially released next Tuesday, 10. However, some excerpts have already been released by the international press, such as the episode in which Meghan Markle’s husband reveals William’s physical aggression and calls his brother of “swearing enemy””.
Charles is also Harry’s target in the biography. The prince says his father is worried that his and his wife’s exposures will affect his reign. Furthermore, he has revealed that he is against the marriage of the King of the United Kingdom with Camilla Parker Bowles.
“Prince Harry has been left out of the coronation script and will have no official role in the service if he attends. Breaking with tradition, Charles will end the ceremony with the royal dukes kneeling and paying their respects to the monarch. As things stand, there it will play no part for Harry in the service,” a source told the publication.
The British royal family has yet to comment on the controversial revelations of Harry’s biography, following the same strategy they did late last year when he and Meghan launched a documentary series on Netflix.
According to a friend of William’s, the Prince of Wales will not make himself known: “[William] he won’t retaliate, he never would, because he’s worthy and incredibly loyal. It is cruel, cowardly and very sad for him to continue to be beaten. He is silent for the good of the family and the country.”
