Reporter Daniela Lima, of CNN Brasil, went viral on Sunday (1/8) by interrupting a Bolsonarista trying to defend terrorist acts in Brasilia.
Responsible for anchoring the channel’s coverage of the invasion and looting of the National Congress, the STF and the Planalto Palace, he was speaking live with Deputy Ricardo Barros (PP-PR) when the Bolsonaro ally tried to blame STE and STF minister Alexandre de Moraes for the proceedings, because he imposed “the credibility of electronic ballot boxes”.
“He tried to impose the credibility of the electronic voting machine by forbidding criticism of the electronic voting machine, he silenced parliamentarians, he silenced several journalists who wanted to criticize, he did not convince society that the the vote was reliable, if it weren’t like that, we wouldn’t have these people who are there with a clean face, there is no one in a mask”.
The speech was interrupted by the journalist, who did not allow him to use the TV to spread fake news.
“Deputy, deputy, deputy, I interrupt you, do you know why? This speech you bring there, trust in the ballot boxes, trust in the ballot boxes is imposed by facts, deputy. The rhetoric is irresponsibility, people you have called journalists, deputies, and who have called for civil war, and that called people who didn’t take to the streets…”
“Journalists, deputy”, continued Lima, “excuse me, it’s me, it’s my colleagues, who are on the street, many of them beaten by decent men, people of the family you came to defend. I think today, deputy , in the face of this scorched earth scenario, the vandalized Federal Supreme Court, your National Congress, and you have decades [de Congresso] vandalized, of the vandalized Palácio do Planalto, of a governor who failed to reverberate this kind of speech that drove these people to the brink of madness, deputy, it’s a bit… it’s debatable.
