The new series of AMC, Lucky Hank, a production starring Bob Odenkirk, won its first teaser and a release date on the channel. Odenkirk is best known for his role as Saul Goodman, a minor character in breaking Bad which got its own spin-off, success Better call Saul.
In the series, Odenkirk will play William Henry Devereaux Jr., with the storyline based on Richard Russo’s book of the same name, published in 1997, following Devereaux’s midlife crisis as he navigates his career as the “unlikely president of the English Republic.” department at an underfunded college in Pennsylvania’s rust belt.
Previously the production bore the title of Straight manwhich has been changed to Lucky Hank of the AMC. The series will premiere on March 19, and you can check out the official teaser below:
In addition to Odenkirk, the cast of the series includes names like Mirielle Enos, Olivia Scott Welch, Diedrich Bader, Sara Amini, Cedric Yarbrough and Suzanne Cryer. The main producers and directors will be Aaron Zelman and Paul Lieberstein, but Peter Farrelly will also direct several episodes in addition to Bob Odenkirk himself.
AMC seems keen to keep Odenkirk around. Back in April, when the series was ordered, AMC Networks president of entertainment Dan McDermott had this sentiment about the actor’s relationship with the network: “Bob Odenkirk is as good as he gets. We feel very fortunate to develop a new series that will keep it at AMC after that Better call Saul And breaking Badtwo iconic series that have been loved by millions of fans.”
Lucky Hank will premiere on March 19 on American AMC and has not yet announced a release date in Brazil.
