The “For You” card is similar to the format popularized by the Chinese app, with suggestions from the platform’s algorithm
THE Twitter began rolling out on Tuesday the 10th a new card of tweets recommended by the platform itself, called “For You” (or “For You”). The resource has already been available to users in Brazil since Tuesday 10.
Inspired by the model of Tick tock (which uses the same name for the resource), the “For You” tab carries suggested tweets from Twitter, based on the hottest topics being discussed at the moment and on each user’s profile.
The new tab is located under the stars icon, located at the top right of the screen. By clicking, the user can choose between the “For You” tab or the “Following” tab, where the tweets are presented in the form of a timeline, i.e. in chronological order as they are tweeted in real time.
At the moment, the release is exclusive to users of iOS, the operating system of iphonefrom Apple.
The “For You” and “Following” tabs replace “Home” and “Most Recent” and will pin to the top of the timeline so you can easily switch between them. Swipe to switch timelines instead of tapping the icon.
