Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Season 2
The year 2023 began with the premiere of the second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, a series derived from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and whose protagonists are Clone Force 99, a troop of five “defective” clones with genetic mutations that make them different from other clones by undertaking daring mercenary missions across the galaxy. With 16 new episodes, it is currently airing on the Disney Plus platform on a weekly basis.
The Mandalorian – Season 3
Launched in 2019, the series was a huge success and won over a legion of fans by placing Pedro Pascal as a Mandalorian bounty hunter with a mission to protect Grogu, a child with a strong connection to the Force and of the same species as the Jedi Master Yoda. The series is set five years after the events of Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when the Empire has been defeated and a new government begins to emerge. The third season will premiere on March 1, 2023 on Disney Plus.
Ahsoka
Ahsoka Tano is a character that appeared in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars and quickly became a fan favorite, making her presence in other animated series and debuting in a live-action version as actress Rosario Dawson in the second season of The Mandalorian. Now Dawson returns to the role of Ahsoka to star in her series, which runs simultaneously with The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The premiere is scheduled for 2023, still without a fixed date.
Star Wars: The Adventures of the Young Jedi
Set during the High Republic era, i.e. centuries before the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, the animated series focuses on following a group of children and young people as they study the ways of the Force to become Jedi Knights, learning compassion , self-discipline, teamwork, patience and friendship. The series will be aimed at children and pre-teens and is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
Starring Jude Law, the series will explore the coming-of-age story of children and young people who were lost in space and are now desperately searching their way home while grappling with the unknown. The series is set in the same time period as The Mandalorian and its offshoots and is slated to premiere in 2023.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 2
Launched in 2021, Star Wars: Visions is an anthology of short films that does not belong to the official “canon” of the franchise, i.e. that does not belong to the official history of Star Wars. These are anime-style episodes that reinvent the Star Wars universe, and the creators, seven Japanese studios, have been given complete creative freedom to develop their stories, which has resulted in work that is very different from what filmmakers are used to. fans of the George Lucas saga. Originally scheduled for a 2021 release, Star Wars: Hunters has been delayed multiple times and is now slated for a 2023 release for the Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS platforms. The game takes place between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens and focuses on offering competitive online multiplayer matches between teams, with battles taking place in iconic settings from the Star Wars franchise.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
And last but not least, the long-awaited launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, scheduled for March 17, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms. A sequel to the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the new adventure takes place five years after the original game and stars Cal Kestis as one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy.
