In the same interview, Judkins warned fans of the literary saga that there will be many changes on the horizon that are not expected: “We try to dig into what’s there and then find a way to expand it.. And a lot of what happens in that book is this exploration of their relationship that I think is very interesting. And they go way beyond what you would expect them to be and you also see the dark parts. And we wanted to establish a way to really get to that in Season 2, so the way you see them in Season 1 puts them on this path to Season 2.”
