Singer Simone Mendes performed his first solo career performance on TV this Sunday (1/15). Participating in “Domingão com Huck”, he sang material from the album and DVD “Cintilante”, which he recorded in Itu (SP) last month, and explained why he ended the duo with his sister Simara.
“More than 20 years of career, she trained with her sister for more than a decade. For me it is an immense honor that she chose ‘Domingão’, us, to make her solo debut in an auditorium program,” he said Luciano Huck when you call the singer on stage.
“Very happy to be here debuting on the right foot”, thanked Simone on her solo debut.
Simone and Simaria announced the end of the duo in August, and from that moment Simone was in charge of carrying out the entire concert program, singing the hits of both on his own.
During Sunday’s appearance, the singer explained why the duo split.
“Life is made of cycles, and mine and my sister’s are over. She didn’t want to continue singing anymore and is very happy with her children, which she really wanted, and I wanted to continue doing what I wanted l ‘I did. I do, which is keep singing,” she argued.
“Having a successful duo like yours means you’re on the road most of the week, so you have to be really excited to do that,” Huck commented. “I realized that music excites me, it’s my fuel for joy. I love being on stage, I couldn’t live without it,” added the singer.
During the conversation, Simone said she has no regrets about her sister’s decision to abandon her career.
“I will say it very clearly on national television: she is the reason for my life, she is the love of my life, I owe her so much of who I am today. If she is sad with me for any reason, forgive me But my door, my cell phone and my love for you will always stand, you are one of the most important things in my life.
On the stage of “Domingão” Simone sang the hits of the duo with Simaria, songs of other artists and even showed songs from her solo album.
