For many, Jenna Ortega became a recent star by playing Wandinha Addams on the Serie Wandinhagives Netflix. However, the 20-year-old actress has been standing out for some time in varied productions.

the experience of ortega in front of the camera makes her a name to be heard when revealing what are the best films of all time in her opinion. It is worth emphasizing: this is the artist’s personal taste, not a choice based on objective criteria. The options were revealed in an interview with the podcast 20 Questions: On Deadlinewith website transcript Far Out Magazine.

Although she has declared herself a horror lover several times, Jenna only included one film of the genre in the list. It’s about Possession (1981), directed by Andrzej Żuławski and starring Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani. She has already revealed her passion for this work in another interview: “It is not only frighteningly beautiful, but it is also different from anything I had seen before”.

Another choice falls on Scott Pilgrim vs the World (2010), feature film directed by Edgar Wright and based on the comic book Scott Pilgrim (publishing company On Press), in Bryan Lee O’Malley. Mixing action with comedy and fantasy, the feature was not successful at the time it was released (it made US$ 49.3 million against an investment of at least US$ 60 million), but it became a cult classic.

The other choices were: Taiwanese drama A Hot Summer Day (1991), the work noir In the Silence of the Night (1950), the classic and award-winning drama paris, texas (1984) and the acidic tragicomedy Naked (1993). Although only one chosen film is horror, Jenna Ortega is a complete lover of the genre. She even revealed to have a bizarre habit that fits well with the definition of someone who likes works in the segment: performing autopsies on small animals.

During an interview with wiredtranscribed by Teen Voguethe subject arose after ortega talk about one of her great friends in the acting world: Maddie Zieglerwith whom she acts in the film The Fallout. She declared:

I feel that maddie and I are the same person in different sources. She is so weird. And I’m weird in the sense that I used to do autopsies on small animals when I was younger, like lizards I found dead in my backyard. […] maddie it’s weird in the sense that she transforms herself into characters and their movements and faces.

Already in an interview with G1the actress made it clear:

“I have a deep love and admiration for the genre [terror] and I think the more involved I can be with him, the happier I will be.” The American, of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, went further and declared that she felt lucky to participate in so many works in the segment.

“I feel like I’ve been really lucky to have been a part of so many horror and horror projects lately. They are some of my most cherished experiences in the studio.
