“We haven’t told anyone of our plans, not even Netflix!“. Matt told the magazine.”We have some ideas. In terms of whether we did some kind of spin-off, or some kind of follow-up to Stranger Things, for us the bar was always, ‘Is the idea exciting enough that I feel compelled to want to do it again? ‘”

Matt further explained the condition for a spin-off: “I want to feel the pull of ‘God, I really want to do this. I feel very, very excited about this’. That’s why we’re being careful about what it is and whether or not we move forward.“.

Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield and Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things, Season 4

Ross added: “The key for us is that it should feel like something different, not that we’re just retreading what we’ve already done.“. Finally, he joked: “I think we have something pretty exciting, so we’ll see…“.
