Starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Ari Aster, Beau Is Afraid promises to be one of the main cinema releases in 2023
One of the most anticipated films of 2023, Beau Is Afraiddescribed as a twisted odyssey of epic proportions by A24won insane trailer this Wednesday, 10. Starring by joaquin phoenixthe feature is the third of the career of Ari Asterresponsible for successes such as Hereditary (2018) and Midsommar – Evil Doesn’t Wait for the Night (2019).
According to the official synopsis, the plot follows “a paranoid man who embarks on an epic odyssey to return home to his mother in this daring and ingeniously depraved new film from director and writer Ari Aster.” In theaters across the United States, the production opens on April 21.
Until the moment, A24 did not reveal what day Beau Is Afraid arrives in Brazilian theaters – and the film’s title has not been translated into Portuguese either. In the preview, we can see the protagonist in a bizarre society, and his life begins to go downhill even more after being run over. So we get to see more of the three versions of him that will appear in the film: teen, adult, and elderly.
