This procedure is performed outside the Windows settings – go to account.microsoft.com, log in and click on “Your data”. On the next screen, click “Change Name”, make your changes, enter your password and save.
How to change the computer name
You can also change the machine name. This alternative is useful for those who use multiple devices and need to identify them quickly.
To do this, open the Windows settings, click on “System” and select the “About” tab. Then click “Rename this computer” and enter the new title.
