This week, the shooting of the new IVI Originals project “Clinical 13” began, the main role of the terminally ill doctor Kirill in which Danila Kozlovsky will play (in parallel, he is working on the TV series “Lucy”). The series tells about an unusual hospital where doctors have to not only fight for the health of patients, but also fight against supernatural forces. The only way for doctor Kirill to survive is to show his best side and convince the new management that the hospital needs him. Kirill plunges into the intricacies of the relationship between people, witches and demons, increasingly doubting that he is able to correctly determine: who exactly here represents good and who represents evil.
Each series of the project is a case of one particular patient, which is a battlefield for physicians and otherworldly entities that “supervise” a particular disease. But the diagnostics are not perfect, and, having prepared to meet one enemy, the audience and heroes stumble upon a completely different one, for which they were not ready for a war. To avoid such mistakes, Kirill and his colleagues will have to spend a lot of time studying the circumstances of patients’ illnesses.
In modern realities, films have increasingly begun to lose to serials in terms of scenario ideas, creativity, acting cast and production capacity,” said Danila Kozlovsky. – Therefore, when I read the script for “Clinical 13”, I was impressed by the character of the hero that I have to play, and the circumstances in which he finds himself, and the wonderful team that the talented director Klim Kozinsky gathered on the set. My hero will have to fight other people’s demons in order to get a ghostly opportunity to defeat his own. I am impressed when the author of an idea seeks to create something that did not exist before him, his own universe. Andrey Zolotarev, showrunner of the project, in fact, created a whole new section of medicine – fantastic, but that’s why it’s exciting and interesting.
The director of the project was Klim Kozinsky, and the screenwriter was Andrey Zolotarev. The cast also includes Paulina Andreeva, Victoria Isakova and Dmitry Lysenkov.
