Recently, the opening of the 59th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art took place. In honor of this event, the House of Dior organized a gala evening at the La Fenice Opera House, which was attended by Laetitia Casta, Catherine Deneuve, Beatrice Borromeo, Rosamund Pike, Maya Hawke, Camille Cotten, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda and others.

The purpose of the evening was not simple, but charitable: donations within the framework of the event will be directed to the restoration of the Ca’ d’Oro Palace on the Grand Canal. The evening was held in cooperation with the Venetian Heritage Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to the preservation of historical monuments of Venice. It is led by architect Peter Marin, who has designed many of Dior’s boutiques.
This year, Dior is sponsoring the Biennale, which runs until 27 November. Its distinguishing feature is the participation of a large number of women artists. For example, Bianchi Pucciarelli Menna, who collaborated with Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri during the fall-winter 2019 show.
