Netflix leads all distributors with 21 nominations for the BAFTAs, the main British film award, the list of nominees for which was revealed this Thursday (19).
This high number of nominations is mainly due to the film Nothing new on the frontwhich received 14 nominations, plus three for Pinocchio by Guillermo Del Toro and one for blonde, The swimmers, The night nurse And The miracle.
Close behind Netflix are Searchlight and A24, both with 14 BAFTA nominations. A24 has received 10 nominations for All everywhere at the same time and four from The whalewhile Searchlight had 10 nominations for The Banshees of Inisherinthree for empire of light and one for See how they run.
Close behind is Warner Bros., with nine nominations for elvis and four from Batman, 13 in total. Lionsgate has won 10 awards, including four for Good luck, big Leoand three for life And Triangle of sadnessEverything is fine.
The rest of the BAFTA nominations were spread evenly, with seven for Focus Features (tar, Brian and Carl And Mrs. Harris goes to Paris), seven for Paramount (Top Gun: nonconformist And Babylon)you are for MUBI (after sun And decision to leave) and Universal (She said, Marcel the Shell with shoes, Moonage Daydream, Puss in Boots 2: The Last Order And Until – The pursuit of justice), plus five for Disney (Avatar: The Way of Water, amsterdam, Red: Growing up is a beast And Black Panther: Wakanda Forever).
