Hopkins Will Decide The Fate Of ‘Those Who Will Die’ In Peacock’s Roman Gladiator Series
Anthony Hopkins will return to television after ‘Westworld’ in the new series of roman gladiators prepared by the director and producer Roland Emmerich, ‘Those About to Die’. Together with the highly anticipated ‘Gladiator 2’, it seems that the peplum will be back in fashion…
Anthony Hopkins will play Emperor Vespasian. Head of the Flavian lineage, Vespasian is “a veteran of battle, a rural upstart who claimed his throne after victory in a bloody 10-year civil war. He is aging and despised by the patricians who are vying for a position in the Empire and seek to supplant their heirs to the throne.”
‘Those who are going to die’ will be produced by the North American channel Peacock and will be based on the non-fiction book by daniel mannix of the same name, which is described as a large-scale drama set in the spectacular, complex and corrupt world of gladiators in Ancient Rome. The series presents a diverse cast of characters across the many layers of Roman society where sports, politics, and business intersect and collide. Therefore, it will be one of those series with which, in addition, we will learn history.

Before going back in time for ‘Those who are going to die’, Anthony Hopkins will voice Jimmy“an incredibly sensitive JC1435 mechanized battle robot and defender of the slain King”, in Zack Snyder’s upcoming film for Netflix, ‘Rebel Moon’which has already announced its release date: December 22, 2023.
