Filming a movie — a complex and painstaking process that sometimes gets out of control. One such stressful situation occurred during the production of PS I Love You with Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank. Shooting an erotic scene could be the last for a Hollywood actress. Butler spoke about this in an interview with Drew Barrymore.
According to the plot of the film, the main character, whose role was played by the actor, dances a striptease for his beloved and gets hit with a clamp from a braces. However, on the set, a metal clasp flew past Butler and hit his partner right in the face.
The clasp whistled past me right into Hilary’s head, I literally cut her, ”Gerard admitted.
According to Butler, everything happened very quickly, literally “less than three seconds.” Swank was quickly taken to the hospital. Butler was left alone and began to cry.
Imagine a huge studio instantly empty. And I was left there alone in shorts and boots and started crying. I scared Hilary Swank. I almost lost her eye! I felt like a complete fool for another two days.
