The network has a trailer for the long-awaited biographical series “Ranevskaya” with Marietta Tsigal-Polishchuk in the title role. The project was directed by Dmitry Petrun, known for his work on paintings “Resurrection” and “Torgsin”. Apart from Tsigal-Polishchuk will be played by Konstantin Lavronenko, Alexander Domogarov, Polina Kutepova, Irina Grineva and Semyon Strugachev.
The series will tell about what a great Soviet actress Faina Ranevskaya was outside the spotlight, and what path she had to go to popular glory. The narrative will cover different periods of Ranevskaya’s life — from youth in Taganrog and dreams of a stage to millions of fans and loneliness in adulthood.
The premiere of the serial biopic “Ranevskaya” will take place exclusively in the KION online cinema on February 8.
