The sequel to The Quiet Saga is getting closer and closer. After Quietly 2, which was released in France last June after multiple delays, Part 3 is revealed with the title and some elements of its story that have so far been kept completely secret.
We finally know a little more about Quietly 3! Although it was delayed for several months due to 2 pandemics without noise and was finally scheduled for June 16 in our French cinemas, Part 3 is becoming clearer.
As announced on CinemaCon, the third episode will not be a sequel, but a prequel, the story of which develops before the conspiracy of A Quiet Place 1 and 2. The film goes back to the beginning as it tells the basics. The story of the first film, which was released in June 2018, was a great international success.
For reference, A Quiet Place 1 tells the story of how a family tried to survive under the threat of mysterious creatures that attacked them with the slightest sound. Episode 3 will return more accurately to the arrival of these mysterious creatures.
The title at the same time opened internationally. They call it a movie Quiet place: First dayOr literally translated, on the model of previous models, quietly: Day 1.
Change of director
Contrary to what was previously announced, the director of the third part is not Jeff Nichols (Mud, Midnight Special). The latter was recently invited to the jury for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, chaired by Vincent Lyndon.
If the name of Jeff Nichols at the time was really confirmed by John Krasinski himself (director of Silent 1 and 2), finally, it’s Michael Sarnowski who will take control. Michael Sarnowski is none other than the director who recently filmed the movie Pig, worn by Nicolas Cage.
A Quiet Place: Day One will be released on September 20, 2023.
Note that after this prequel, A Quiet Place 3 should also see the light of day, with John Krasinski still directing, with a release scheduled for 2025.
