Who is Bill in “The Last of Us”?
In the original 2013 game, Bill is a survivor and smuggler in Lincoln, Massachusetts who meets protagonists Joel and Ellie midway through the game. He lives in a large booby-trapped hideout that he built when his partner, Frank, abandoned him after 20 years of post-apocalyptic living.
Bill and Joel worked together as smugglers in the past and he owes Joel favors, which is how Joel convinces Bill to help them. In both the game and Offerman’s impersonation, Bill sports a full beard and long, flowing hair similar to Offerman’s character, Forest on Devs.
“The Last of Us” episode three, “Long, Long Time,” airs this Sunday (29th) on HBO.
