Hamilton’s active voice on diversity and inclusion in F1 is nothing new. The Briton also showed concern and the attitude he adopts when he is in contact with companies and sponsors, to understand how they behave with respect to these issues.

“Usually when I talk to sponsors or companies, I think, ‘Hey, how diverse is your team? What are you doing for diversity and inclusion? How are you creating a better workspace for people?'” he revealed.

“This is what I want to be a part of. Success may come later, and it will be down the road, but if you’re not asking these questions or dealing with these issues, then we’re not aligned. And that pretty much applies to all the partners we have – we have a lot of partners in our team – I asked these really tough questions,” he explained.



Mercedes adopted the black car in 2020 and 2021.

In addition to Hamilton being incisive with the guidelines he defends within F1, Lewis has the support of Mercedes in these actions.
