“I would do anything they asked of me.”
‘How I Met Your Mother’ star Jason Segel has spoken about a possible cameo in the spin-off series, ‘How I Met Your Father.’
Segel was commissioned to play Marshall Eriksen in all nine seasons of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and he could join Neil Patrick Harris in a cameo on ‘How I Met Your Father.’ As we learned last week, and to the surprise of fans, Harris has made a surprise cameo in the season 2 premiere of that show.
Segel was told about Harris’ cameo in an interview with ET at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ series Shrinking.
“I didn’t know anything about it, but those people changed my life and I would do anything they asked.Segell said.
If Segel were to make that cameo, he would not only be joining Harris as an original star appearing on the spinoff show, but also Robin Scherbatsky actress Cobie Smulders. The actress who has also been seen in the Avengers movies appeared in the finale of the first season of ‘How I Met Your Father’ reprising the role of the journalist, who gave advice to the new protagonist of the spin-off, Sophie , played by Hilary Duff. We’ll see if the end of what was Marsupialito for Lily (Alyson Hannigan), his wife, comes to appear in the new series.
Returning to the role of Harris in this second season, the reality is that it will be more than a cameo after it was confirmed that his character, Barney Stinson, will play an important role in the rest of the second season.
Speaking about bringing back the original cast members for cameo appearances, ‘How I Met Your Father’ creator Isaac Aptaker said:
“You want to give a few little things about what’s going on in their lives, where they landed and where they are, but it’s also about how they impact the story of ‘How I Met Your Father,’ and how they send one of our characters in a new and exciting direction. unexpected”. “Like Robin last year, we’ll learn a bit more about where Barney is, but it’s also going to have a big impact on the trajectory and main narrative of our season.“. Will we have moments in the series that are “legend… wait for it… dary!”?
The first season of ‘How I Met Your Father’ is available on Disney+. The series has had many pros and cons, and who knows if we will know more about young Sophie beyond this new batch of chapters. At the moment it is unknown when the second season will be released in our country.
