Christoph Waltz will star in a new action comedy film, titled ‘Old Guy.’
The ‘James Bond’ actor will be directed by Simon West (‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’). The script of the tape has been developed by Greg Johnson.
As reported Deadline, Waltz will play a veteran hitman named Terry Eubanks, who is convinced that he is still the best in his “industry.”
Facing a dead end, the Company rehires Eubanks to train a newcomer Gen Z prodigy named Wihlborg whose attitude threatens to get in their way.
Although at first they don’t seem to understand each other, the duo are tasked with taking out top members of a rival crime syndicate. This mission will lead them to discover the truth behind their organization.
The Company’s attempt to eliminate the competition and seize power is thwarted when Eubanks joins the boy and their abilities combine against purpose.
Speaking of the film, which will begin shooting in 2023 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, director Simon West commented: “It is very rare that a script like this appears. When it arrives, you have to hold it with both hands and not let go until you find the perfect actor.“.

Meanwhile, the first trailer for Waltz’s new Amazon Prime Video series, ‘The Consultant,’ dropped earlier this month.
Waltz will play Regus Patoff, a creepy business consultant, in the eight-part series based on Bentley Little’s 2015 novel of the same name.
