‘The Crown’: Helena Bonham Carter pronounces on the future of the Netflix series

‘The Crown’ actress Helena Bonham Carter has weighed in on the future of the Netflix series — and thinks it should end better sooner rather than later.

Bonham Carter brought Princess Margaret to life in seasons three and four of ‘The Crown’, after taking over from Vanessa Kirby. Lesley Manville would be the next performer to get the role for season 5.

However, with the fifth batch (and the sixth on the way), the contemporary history of the royal family has come to the screen. About this, Bonham Carter commented in an interview with Guardian who feels the series should end soon.

“I have to be careful with this, but I don’t think they should continue, really. I’m on the show and I love my episodes, but now it’s very different,“said the actress.

“When ‘The Crown’ started, it was a historical drama. Now he has plunged fully into the present. But that’s up to you…”

‘The Crown’ has received much criticism for its exploration of more recent history. Particularly after the death of the Queen and the current conflicts that are happening between the royal family and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Nevertheless, andThe cast of the series has defended the project against criticismincluding the actress who gave life to Margaret Thatcher, Gillian Anderson.

“There are many investigators involved, many people confirming and making sure of the veracity of the facts,Anderson commented.

“There are many things that have not been written about and that could be told. And, if you knew the difference between one and the other, you would see that there is a lot of kindness and measure. Ultimately, it creates an incredibly compassionate and complete vision of the human being.”
