‘The Last of Us’: Where have we seen Bill and Frank, the couple from the spectacular chapter 3, before?

There is no doubt, ‘The Last of Us’ is already one of the best series on HBO Max, both for acolytes of the original Naughty Dog video game and for neophytes who are now learning the story of Joel and Ellie. A success that, after the success of the third episode, has made us wonder: Where have we seen Bill and Frank before, the couple from the spectacular chapter 3 of ‘The Last of Us’?

Directed by Peter Hoar and written by Craig Mazinin ‘A long long time’ we see how Joel and Ellie arrive at Bill and Frank’s hideout and, in a flashback that begins in 2007, we discover how the two survivors met, fell in love and happened to be the most reasonable explanation for getting up one more day in a world that has gone to hell.

As we pointed out in our who’s who in ‘The Last of Us’, Bill survives everything and despite everything. Covered in the city of Lincoln, he becomes the last survivor of the place until Frank, a desperate traveler who had lost his group, falls into one of his traps. With Cordyceps knocking on his door, and a host of dangerous marauders ready to destroy his defenses, Frank comes to trust Bill and, little by little, they fall in love..

While in a business relationship (seeking friendship) with Tess and Joel, they redecorate their house and spruce up their neighborhood, Frank and Bill manage to lead an “almost” normal life, approaching happiness thanks to the relationship they have managed to maintain and the love with which they treat each other, ingredients that become extremely powerful when, at the end of the chapter, they have to leave the open bedroom window.

Born in Illinois, United States, on June 26, 1970, he has appeared in fundamental titles such as ‘Sin City (City of Sin)’ (Robert Rodriguez, 2005), ‘The Men Who Stared at Goats’ (Grant Heslov, 2009), ‘My father’s house’ (Matt Piedmont, 2012), ‘Class Keepers’ (Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, 2012) and ‘We are the Millers’ (Jordan Vogt-Roberts, 2013), but for us he will always be the fundamental Ron Swanson of ‘Parks and Recreation’complete on HBO Max.

Frank is Murray Bartlett

Even though we’ve been in love with Murray Bartlett since his role as the hotel manager in the first season of ‘The White Lotus’, the actor had already given us reasons before to not lose track of him. Born in Sydney, Australia, on March 20, 1971, Bartlett made his debut on what is now HBO Max in 2014 with ‘Looking’, appeared in the Netflix series catalog with ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘San Francisco Stories’ and also appears in the Disney + thanks to ‘Welcome to Chippendales’.
