BRASÍLIA – The former president of House of Representatives Rodrigo Maya assumes this Thursday 2, the presidency of National Confederation of Financial Institutions (CNF). Maia, who will have a three-year mandate, will represent the body that brings together the main organs of the financial sector in discussions on the country’s economic agenda.
“We are experiencing an unprecedented revolution in the sector, in all sectors. The financial ecosystem is a great lever for development. We need to dialogue with the Powers and society”, says Maia, who left the Chamber after six consecutive terms. He was Speaker of the Chamber from 2016 to 2021
CNF was created in 1985. The nine affiliated entities are: Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban); B3; Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Entities (Anbima); Brazilian Association of Banks (ABBC); Brazilian Association of Real Estate Savings and Credit Entities (Abecip); Brazilian Association of International Banks (ABBI); Brazilian Association of Leasing Companies (Abel); National Association of Securities Brokers (Ancord) and Brazilian Association of Credit Card and Service Companies (Abecs).
