James Mangold hints at Swamp Thing after DC’s announcement

Here’s one that’s pure speculation: There’s reason to believe that James Mangold may be involved in DC’s upcoming film adaptation. swamp thing. James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios slate, with the first phase of ‘Gods and Monsters’ aiming to shape DCU continuity once and for all, included a variety of intriguing projects, from a new version of Superman, a new Batman and so much more. Moreover. And as a highlight, a film version of swamp thing – the cult comic book monster whose tragic story has been at the center of some of DC’s best-loved stories.

Now, Gunn’s announcements didn’t include any indication as to which directors might be involved in the myriad of projects, but today none other than James Mangold (of Logano, ford against ferrariand a certain upcoming movie by the name of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) posted on his Twitter account a panel of a swamp thing comic. If it’s a coincidence, it’s a big one.

Will it be part of Gunn’s plans? swamp thing movie? Are you just a comic book fan sharing your excitement for a big screen release? Could this be some other type of swamp-related situation that is currently playing out in Mangold’s life? There is still little to do but the view of the man behind Logano Doing justice to DC Studios’ big, green, tacky on-screen guy is definitely something to get excited about. Be careful folks.
