‘Paddington 3’: Will the third film finally reach theaters?

just a couple of years ago all seemed well in the world of ‘Paddington’.

The third film discovered its title and it seemed that we would have news of our favorite bear at any moment..

However, we cannot ignore the fact that ‘Paddington in Peru’ is NOT in theaters (and not even being produced). Ben Whishaw (the man behind the bear’s voice) has shared some bad news on the subject: it looks like we’re going to have to wait much, much longer than we expected… Or, at least, that has been suggested.

Whishaw has shared the news in a firm but delicate way and has made it clear that the development of the sequel is not being how we imagined. As reported Colliderthe actor mentioned: “I haven’t read the script and I don’t know when we’ll shoot it. Don’t know. I thought it would be now, but I don’t know. Everything has remained in the air, without moving, as sometimes happens with these things.“

“Maybe this means they are still working on it. Or maybe it’s not going to happen… I just don’t know.”

In short, Whishaw seems rather unconvinced about the future of ‘Paddington 3’, but it pays to stay positive.

Ranked as one of the best movies ever, ‘Paddington 2’ Scores 100% on Rotten Tomatoes before some malicious bystander brought the score down just a fraction. Thus, it’s hard for the franchise to be abruptly over without saying goodbye at this point.

Besides, all the key figures are in favor of a forthcoming release: production, direction and part of the cast have already confirmed their participation.

A movie is like a good sweet: it takes a certain amount of time to reach perfection. Let’s hope that when ‘Paddington 3’ arrives, it will have been worth the wait.

Until then, Ben Whishaw fans can track him down in his new movie ‘Passages’which also got a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes (looks like the actor’s got things under control…).
