Gray Anatomy on TF1: New Doctor Farewell to TV Series

Departures continue into Gray’s anatomy. After Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) and Giacomo Janiot (Andrew Deluca) bid farewell to the 17th season, another actor announced his retirement from the medical series last February.

Richard Flood, who has been playing Dr. Cormack Hayes for three seasons, will definitely leave out the 10th episode of Season 18, which airs Wednesday, May 11, at 9:10 p.m. on TF1. And it’s exactly in episode 9, which airs this Wednesday, May 4 at 9:55 p.m., that departure begins.

Richard Flood originally joined Gray Anatomy as Dr. Cormac Hayes for a few episodes in Season 16, but he quickly moved on to regular season 17.

Initially, his character was presented as a potential love interest of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), the two doctors have a lot in common. It is also the latter’s best friend, Christina Young, who sent him a “gift” to Gray Sloan to finally find happiness.

But this conspiracy, like many others, was stopped due to the Covid epidemic. The actor left Gray’s anatomy for some time at the end of Season 17, but eventually stayed, which allowed the writers to create a love triangle between Meredith and Nick (Scott Speedman).

Cormac Hayes, who returned to the hospital because of ethical concerns, decided to condemn Owen’s actions to Bailey. But once in front of his office he changed his mind and resigned. He declares his desire to return to live in Ireland with his two children.
