Actor and ex-bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno says there hasn’t been a Hercules quite like his. Neither The Rock nor Arnold Schwarzenegger can be compared to him.
The Hercules character is one of the most iconic roles in Hollywood. Since 1958, several actors have played the role, and for Lou Ferrigno no one has been better than him in that role. In a recent Instagram post, Ferrigno recounted it like this: “This photo was taken just before shooting Hercules in Italy. I’m proud to say that I was the biggest and most defined Hercules on film. The seated high pulley triceps extension is my favorite triceps exercise and it helped me get as defined as possible. I usually did 4-5 sets and 8-10 reps.”

Bodybuilder like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Reeves or Dwayne The Rock Johnson were some of those Hercules along with Lou Ferrigno. However, the Italian actor believes that his physique was the most suitable for the role. The veteran actor had appeared in Hercules (1983) and the adventures of hercules (1985).
