An echo of the life of a Swedish criminal, Clark Olofson, responsible for numerous robberies and the author of spectacular escapes in the 1960s.
If we may not know the name of the criminal Clark Olofson in France, we still know the concept he inspired: Stockholm Syndrome! In episode 6, the mini-series Clark aims to portray this eccentric criminal as he is known to be controversial in his own country.
It was Bill Skarsgარrd (this, Deadpool 2), the son of Stellan and the brother of Alexander and Gustaf, who was chosen for this gangster, who went down in history in 1973 for his role in the capture of Normstorg. The capital of Sweden.
Indeed, after this event, when bank employees developed a sense of sympathy for robbers, they coined the term “Stockholm Syndrome” to describe the situation between hostages and prison guards. So Clark mentions this key part of Olofson’s life, but also repeats his entire journey: from a difficult childhood to the present.
A man convicted of attempted murder, assault, robbery and drug trafficking, now living in Belgium, has spent more than half his life in Swedish penitentiaries.
Directed by Jonah Akerlund Describes his series as : “This is a story about the most politically incorrect person who lived the most politically incorrect life. Then when Bill Skarsgარrd said:Clark Olofsson, for better or worse, is one of Sweden’s most colorful and charming personalities.”
And add: Life and history are so incredible and distorted that even Scorsese will blush.“Enough to want to find him on screen as soon as possible!”
Clark is available on Netflix.
