The comedy “Omar in the Big City” about the adventures of a good-natured Dagestan named Omar in Moscow returns with a new season. The cast includes Omar Alibutaev, Oleg Vereshchagin, Anastasia Baikaeva and Nikita Volkov. Directed again Dmitry Grachev (“The Bride at Any Cost”, “Exchange Wedding”), and showrunner Ivan Rymarev and screenwriter Georgy Gigashvili continued to work on the script.

In the second season, Omar and Oleg will have their own business, so the heroes will have dizzying adventures, ups and downs. We also expect the denouement of a love affair between Omar and TV presenter Asya. Speaking without spoilers, the hero will face so many opponents, as if we were filming an action movie, not a comedy. It will be very spectacular in terms of dramaturgy. I think that the strongest side of our series is humor. What we want above all is for the viewer to have a good time watching, and especially with the whole family. It seems to me that the story about Omar is important for everyone, because it is about the connection of generations and the idea that good will definitely triumph over evil. Love, kindness and humor will save our lives, – director Dmitry Grachev says about the new season.
