Qualcomm plans to reveal ‘P’ and ‘T’ variants of its chipsets, such as Snapdragon 7 Gen 2P and Snapdragon 7 Gen 2T, claims rumor
In its second generation after the change in the naming strategy of its processors, Qualcomm may add new variants to its catalog in the future. A new leak points out that chipsets can get letters to identify other versions, allowing for a wider range of options in the brand’s portfolio without the need for new generations.

Whistleblower Yogesh Brar, known as @heyitsyogesh on Twitter, has been reporting on Qualcomm’s series of processors. He points out that the US company is considering revealing new versions for the Snapdragon family, adding the “P”, “T” models and others. In this case, he shows the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2P and Snapdragon 7 Gen 2T as examples.
I heard that Qualcomm plans to introduce more SKUs with “P”, “T” and so on. branding in the Snapdragon CPU family, such as Snapdragon 7 Gen 2P, 7 Gen 2T
Don’t think they should go along with this naming scheme, it will make things more difficult.
What do you think?

This new strategy would be a curious move, since the idea of the latest nomenclature, debuted with the arrival of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, is precisely to simplify the wallet and facilitate the understanding of each of the processors in terms of their performance .
The addition of the “P” and “T” variants might once again confuse the audience, as these letters don’t refer to anything very clear. The curious part is that even with this new nomenclature, it revealed the Snapdragon 782G, using the old identification strategy.
Also, there are rumors that the brand may soon reveal the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1, and then bring the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 to market.
In any case, there is no other information regarding the new platforms, and Qualcomm has not confirmed anything in this regard. We will therefore have to wait for new leaks or the presentation of new processors by the brand to find out more details.
